Two years since we posted about Microsoft’s Courier Tablet the guys over at TechRepublic have an interesting article here on the Courier and why it never came to launch.
I think if the tablet had been launched Microsoft may well have gone on to conquer the tablet market place!

This cctv footage shows some guys walking around Leeds city centre in the hat which was created by Tony Broomhead local architect and artist following an idea from his wife, Aprille.
The hat has still not returned but Tony has made a replacement and 2 Cosy is now back outside Jamie Oliver’s restaurant in Leeds, until October.
Tony and Aprille Broomhead have also been busy on another project this time its all about ‘Pom Poms’ the idea started after the theft of Cosy 1, they have since been inundated with them after a request for people to send them as many as they could. They’ve had so many they have decided that they are going to build a ‘small house’ out of them when they have finished will post and let you have a look
Tesco in Korea have found that the use of Smartphones and QR codes can lead to an increase in sales online in this case by 130%.
The idea allows commuters on their way to or from work to shop virtually, checkout and pay. A quick scan of the product puts it in their online cart and when done it is delivered to their door just after they get home.
Here is a sneak peek at Microsoft’s New Operating System Windows 8 which is going to run on everything laptops, desktops, PCs with mouse and keyboard, touch slates etc etc etc.
It all begins with the Start Screen and its live tiles and apps; you cycle between windows by simply touching your finger at the side of the screen, and swipe it inwards to lay the new tab on top. By holding the floating tab for a few seconds, it’ll snap onto the side of the screen as a secondary window.
It all looks very nice and fast when we get more details we will post them here.
